Look what I got !

Ever since I read this from Nikki, I’ve been trying to get one from Ebay but no luck there. Everyone must have read that post as well I guess. Anyhow, after a year and half of being out-bidded, I spotted this – a Singer CSP1 Steam Press Iron at my local op shop. I’m pretty chuffed with my purchase and it works a treat. Fusing interfacing has never been so easy (and enjoyable).

Ok, looks like I need a new ironing board cover. I’ll have to put that down on my to do list. Does anyone know how to clean the iron plate? I think the previous owner of the press were using it for iron on transfers as I can see some words on it.

Good on you! You’ll love it! Just one word of advise when you do the interfacing, make sure the main fabric is pressed before you fuse…stops crinkles from happening. But I can’t tell you how to clean the iron plate. I know I have seen some tips around the internet. My only problem with mine is finding room to put it somewhere to use it, as my craft room is not completely finished being renovated!
