The Crafty Kid

by a local Sydneysider, Kelly Doust from The Crafty Minx. I got this as a present from a friend from church (thanks K for remembering my birthday). The book was just recently released (June 2010, I think), so I’ve not seen it before but I’m happy to add it to my little craft library. This book has beautiful projects that you can make for children and if they’re old enough, you can make it with them. Isn’t that the coolest? Instead of watching TV or playing video games, kids should be allowed to craft to nurture their creative side. Otherwise, they’ll just get old and become less imaginative (like me).
A couple of projects that have caught my eye.

Isn’t this dress the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen? I wonder if my daughter is too old to be wearing this?

And she has been asking for a watch as well.
Check out some other projects from the book here. Even if you don’t make anything from the book, the pictures are so pretty to look at.
