When I first saw this jacket from Make It Perfect, I fell in love with it straightaway and had to get the pattern.  This was last year and I had very good intentions to sew it up for winter 09 but somehow never got around to it.  Anyway, it’s winter 2010 (officially) and yes, I have completed the jacket, although with the weather here in Sydney like this,

I think I need to get Amy Butler’s LITTLE SPLASHES HOODED RAINCOAT & RUNABOUT JACKET pattern and sew up a cute raincoat in her laminated fabrics.  Gorgeous, right?

Anyway, back to the Uptown Girl, and here it is

Oh well, my daughter is not a big fan of my sewing except for bags that I make for her.

By the way, I finally conquered my fear of  sewing on a button hole using that funny looking foot (although the thought of using a magnetic snap instead did cross my mind), it’s not the best button hole ever but it’s functional.  As they say practice makes perfect.
