Self Imposed Deadline: Part 2

Did I make it?

Well, I managed to finish the last bag at about midnight on Tuesday, so hooray for deadlines.

First up, we have Amy Butler’s Frenchy Bag - shoulder length style in her Nigella fabric. I love the grey passion vine for the body of the bag with its coordinating top panel of ecru woodfern.

The second bag is yet another Frenchy Bag. I changed my mind at the last minute to make this another shoulder bag instead of a handbag. I thought it might be more practical. This time I went with the nickel primrose for the body and ritzy stripe for the top panel. What do you think?
The final bag, the reason for this deadline is Amy Butler’s Birdie Sling. After sewing the tote for my brother, he requested another – this time a beach bag of some sort. Now, not having to go to the beach often, I just assumed it had to be really roomy and boy, does this fit the bill. I find the bag too big for my liking but I’m hoping the recipient would think it’s ok. Spinach starflower tiles and imperial fans were used on this bag.
I’ need a sewing break after sewing theses bags but not for long as there are a couple more birthdays coming up, not to mention Christmas. Eek, I haven’t started on those yet. I bet you guys are way more organised than me. Nothing like working under pressure.
