I mentioned in my last post that I was working on a couple of bags for my brother, well, this is the other one (that he has also forgotten to pack and left behind so my mum has kept this too) – the Keyka Lou Bucket Bag.

I chose Momo’s Freebird Garden Geranium because I was told by my brother that one of his friend likes red.  This one is in twill, so perfect for bags but still used interfacing on the outer and lining of the bag which gives the bag just enough structure.

This bucket bag pattern has one large pocket with a couple of darts on the front (sorry about the dark photo), which probably should have been embellished with a button or something but I just didn’t have time to go look for the perfect button.

I quite like the size of this bag as it’s not too big nor is it too small.  The shape of the bag is pretty cute too.  I should make one for myself.  Believe it or not, I haven’t made myself a bag yet.

I have a few more Keyka Lou patterns to try as well, so come back soon and check what I’ll be sewing next.
