Artsy-Crafty Babe Pleated Tote
This is one of the bags I was working on last week for my brother (now my mum has it cos he forgot to take it with him). He actually asked for Amy Butler’s Birdie Sling which I sewed for him last year for another friend of his but I wanted to try another pattern instead.

So I used the Pleated Tote Pattern from Artsy-Crafty Babe, which is a fairly roomy tote, depends on what you want to carry I guess. Some people like small bags and some like huge bags and for some reason my brother is always asking me to make big bags.

I chose to use Michael Miller’s Brown Carnival Bloom – it has lots of pink but not too much, if you know what I mean. I was told that this recipient likes pink, so some pink and white polka dot were used on the straps. I hope there’s enough pink in the bag to satisfy her.

Finally, the bag was finished off with a green button as the closure. Cute, right?
This bag came together fairly easily so the Artsy-Crafty Babe’s Phoebe Bag is going on the ever growing to-do list as well.
