Domestic Goddess Aprons
I’m still here, just been busy with last minute sewing for birthday presents. The first couple of weeks of June has been hectic with three birthdays to sew for, but now I can get back to my normal sewing.
Just warning you that it’s been pouring cats and dogs here and took the only “dry” opportunity to take the photos below. So it’s not the best. Thankfully, hubby was home to take these for me, otherwise, it could be a lot worse.

As the title has suggested, this is Amy Butler’s Domestic Goddess Pleated Bodice Full Apron, the bodice is size small/medium but I still need help in filling the top half of the apron though. Fabrics are Amy Butler’s Nigella passion vine (celery) and ritzy stripe (sky).

The pleats are meant to be slimming, what do you think? Here I am trying very hard to suck in my stomach for the photo. What to do with the other hand that is not holding anything? Might as well stick it in the pocket to keep it warm, right?

I’m sure they’re useful when you’re cooking, right? Ok, I have to admit that I never wear an apron when I cook so I’m not really sure what makes a good apron except that it should be a full one to protect you from the mess.

This one is the Split Bodice version in large/ex-large, again using Nigella (I have heaps) wood fern (moss) and ritzy stripe (forest).

It still has the same slimming pleats,

and pockets of course!
I hope the recipients don’t mind me modeling the aprons before gifting it.
Anyway, I’ve been thinking about getting a dress form so I don’t have to wait for hubby to take photos but they are quite pricey though. I’ll have to see if anything turns up on ebay. Ok, be warned, my next post will be another apron one.
well done! I like this apron and choice of fabric
