Rome wasn’t built in a day
and neither are quilts sewn in a day. That’s wishful thinking on my part. If there were only more hours in a day and I didn’t have to feed, bath and entertain the kids. If only.
Anyway, I started on a jelly roll quilt a couple of weeks ago,

and I’m happy to say that the first quilt top is finished. Isn’t it pretty in pinks, reds and yellows? It’s a pattern from the Moda Bake Shop called Lawn Chair quilts using It’s A Hoot jelly roll (I had only just realised now that I should have added another column). I love the fact that you can get two quilts from one jelly roll, one each for my son and daughter. I’ve already started on my son’s quilt top, so hopefully, I’ll be able to show you pictures soon.
Now I’m off to cut extra fabric for that missing column.
