Quilt Class 101: Week 8, 9 & 10

With visitors staying with us for the last couple of weeks, I didn’t get a chance to quilt my quilt class quilt until last night. I was determined to get it finished as there was not much quilting involved, only a couple of zig-zag lines in the white fabric …

but obviously I was rushing and not concentrating at the job at hand. OOPS!!!! I used the quilting guide at one inch apart and forgot to pivot, so I decided to back stitch and unpick the offending stitches. Just don’t look too close as I’m sure it won’t be noticeable from afar.

Oh and I used a fleece blanket bought from IKEA as my batting, so this beautiful fringe will have to go when I trim off the excess. I think I’m caught up with this class, now off to prepare for another class.
Hi Vicky! Hope you and your little crew are doing well! Really enjoying your quilting blogs, this one looks so amazing. Do you have a photo of the entire quilt? Would love to see the finished product. Doing any knitting this year?
