My Creative Space – borders & another quillow

I’m putting my first borders on my kaleidoscope quilt because a) I think the quilt needs one (or 3 in this case) and b) I needed to beef up this quilt into a queen size quilt (I should have just made more blocks since the quilt design is uneven). Does anyone find putting the borders on a quilt quite tedious? Or is it just me? All that measuring, left, right, center and of course mine doesn’t match up at all, so take the average, more math.

Only taken me about a week to get to this point…and it’s still not done yet, I’ve got the last top and bottom borders to go. So hopefully, I’ll get that done today.

Finally finished my boy quillow and my daughter wants one too. So she picked the first five fabrics, of course girly colours but she picked them because she wanted owls (a girl after my own heart). I chose the sixth and Mr AC culled the fabrics I pulled out to make up the rest of the stash. Yeah, it’s always a family family when it comes to choosing fabrics for quilts. I’m still not convinced if this would work or not though.
Anyway, head on over to our creative spaces and see what the others are doing today.
Looks awesome! Wish i could be brave enough to attempt an actual bed sized quilt
