My Creative Space – Binding and Quillow

I’ve finally gotten around to making the binding for my zig-zag quilt a.k.a. the Quilt Class Quilt. I really didn’t know what to use with this quilt, so settled on using Michael Miller’s dumb dot in charcoal.

Hopefully, I’ll get a chance to go near my machine and sew the binding on so I’ll be able to hand sew the binding down during the night while watching some TV (not that there is anything good to watch on Thursday nights anyway). I can’t wait to finish this quilt and show everyone in the big reveal next week.

And just as I am about to finish one quilt, I start on another. I’m thinking of making a quillow using Nova’s tutorial for a baby boy but I need to finish it by Monday. I just haven’t been motivated enough to start because I’m not sure if his parents will appreciate a handmade gift. But hubby insists that it will be well received. Let’s hope so.

Anyway, don’t you think this fabric is cute? It’s Michael Miller’s Blue Galaxy Visa, it’s one of the very few boy prints I own and thought it will be nice to include it in the quilt. What do you think of my fabric selection? I’m still not sure how to pick fabrics that will work well in a quilt. I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that it will work out.
I’m off to check out what the others are doing in their creative spaces today.
You are very brave with a four-day project of a quillow! I made a strip quilt aka cuppa and chat in 1/1/2 and that was zooming!
Your binding is pretty lovely – can’t wait tos ee the real deal!
