While I was de-cluttering my pin board, I noticed the pattern on this napkin is none other than the kaleidoscope block.  I was actually looking at the border design (you can just make it out on the top of the napkin) and was thinking how I could quilt this design.

 Then on closer inspection, I saw that these were kaleidoscope blocks like the ones I’ve been working on in the quilt a-long.  It took a while for my eyes to pick up on it but I would not have noticed the pattern if I was not working on the quilt a-long.

By the way, these are paper napkins from IKEA, don’t you just love the design?
